Mantra now serving meals

Mantra, Benson's newest restaurant, is now open.

Omaha restaurateur Mac Thompson's latest venture - he also owns Taxi's Bar and Grille - is at 6813 Maple St.

Mantra's hours are Monday, 4:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Friday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to midnight.

Raising Cane's coming to Omaha

Omaha is getting its first Raising Cane's.

The restaurant will open in late November at 7052 Dodge St., where Family Fun Center used to be.

Raising Cane's is known for its chicken fingers. The menu includes a number of chicken finger meals with sides like fries, Texas toast and coleslaw.

The chain has locations in 16 states, including one other in Nebraska, at 403 N. 48th St. in Lincoln.

Fox and Hound closes west Omaha location

The west Omaha location of the Fox and Hound is closed.
