The Spaghetti Works restaurant in downtown Lincoln is closing July 29.
Shelly Stokes, president of Spaghetti Works, said competition in the downtown Lincoln restaurant scene is one reason for the closure. The restaurant opened in 1980.
The company sold its building, at 228 N. 12th St., to US Property, which is pursuing a new restaurant for the space.
"We are sad to be leaving Lincoln," Stokes said.
US Property manages commercial and residential spaces in Lincoln and around the country.
The other locations of Spaghetti Works, including the one in the Old Market, 502 S. 11th St., and one in Ralston, 8416 Park Dr., will stay open. The restaurant also has a location in Des Moines.
