COLUMBUS, Ohio - The nervous murmurs were likely back for Nebraska volleyball fans.

A clunky start to Saturday's match, in which the Huskers showed all of the familiar signs of struggle from back-to-back losses in the past week put No. 3 Nebraska in an early hole at No. 23 Ohio State.

But an honest moment on the bench, a stingy block and the return to form of Morgan Broekhuis righted the Huskers' ship - at least for the moment.

Broekhuis broke out of a recent slump with a team-high 12 kills as Nebraska rallied for a 17-25, 25-12, 25-20, 25-14 win at St. John Arena. The victory salvaged a road split for the Huskers on the opening weekend of Big Ten play and avoided a third straight loss, which would have been the program's longest skid since 1997.

Broekhuis, a 6-foot-5 opposite hitter, had 12 kills and nine errors combined in Nebraska's two recent losses at Iowa State and Penn State, but she had 12 kills Saturday against two errors.
