Kenzie Crawford has found a home away from home.
The 5-foot-8 setter from Northview High School in Grand Rapids, Mich., has committed to play volleyball for Creighton, starting in 2013.
Crawford was also looking at Houston and Coastal Carolina, but she said Creighton felt like home.
"It just felt like I was supposed to be there and play volleyball,'' she said.
Crawford said she was impressed by D.J. Sokol Arena, which she said was a better facility than she saw on any of her other visits. She connected with the other recruits in her class on her visit last week and liked the coaches.
"It seemed like they had a lot of interest in me, which is important,'' she said.
Crawford said she may redshirt her freshman year, which would give her a chance to get used to the school and the college game.
She was actually looking up information on Southern Illinois when she noticed Creighton's program, which she said is on the rise.
