Omaha police said a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in midtown on Tuesday died early Saturday morning.
Mary T. Ryan, 41, was struck about 2:30 a.m. at Dodge and 39th Streets outside of any marked crosswalks, said Sgt. Jason Menning.
She suffered severe injuries, including damage to her brain, and died Saturday morning at Creighton University Medical Center.
Menning said following an autopsy, the investigation into the accident will be forwarded to the Douglas County Attorney's Office for review.
The driver, a 27-year-old Omahan who lives about a half mile from the accident scene, showed no signs of driving under the influence, police said.
Ryan is the second pedestrian to be killed by a vehicle in Omaha this week.
Alan L. Henvey, 60, was struck by a vehicle near 107th and Q Streets just before 10 p.m. on Friday. He died shortly after at Creighton University Medical Center.
The 24-year-old driver of that vehicle has not been charged. The accident remained under investigation.
