One person was found dead inside a house where a fire broke early Sunday morning, authorities said.

Omaha Fire Department spokesman Tim McCaw said the cause of the fire at 2014 Vinton St. is under investigation and Omaha police homicide investigators were at the scene. He expected a cause of the fire to be released sometime Monday.

The blaze was reported about 6:40 a.m.

McCaw said a cause of death would be determined once an autopsy was completed.
