Five shootings in less than 24 hours left two people dead and five others injured.

The dead included Kim Prince, 47, who was shot about 8:35 p.m. Sunday at 5319 Hartman Ave. Two teens were injured in the shooting.

Prince was found in the home but it's not clear whether she was shot there, said Sgt. Teresa Negron.

Davante Mitchell, 19, and Kenyon Muhammad, 18, are expected to survive their injuries.

Several hours earlier, police found the body of Damion L. Davis, 29, in the backyard of a vacant home at 5917 N. 30th St.

Police did not report any immediate arrests from the day's violence, which began with officers being called to Immanuel Medical Center about 4:45 a.m. Sunday to talk to shooting victim Edward Moore, 46, of Omaha.

Moore, whose injuries were not life-threatening, told the officers he was walking near 29th and Seward Streets between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. when someone in a passing vehicle showed a gun and shot him.
