The disgruntled wife of a prison inmate tipped investigators to a sexual relationship between her husband and a female caseworker, according to court records.

Elizabeth M. Blake, 27, was charged in June with sexual abuse of a 30-year-old male inmate, a felony. She had been a caseworker at the Community Corrections Center in Omaha.

The inmate was on furlough - a program that allows low-risk inmates to serve a portion of their sentences outside a corrections center.

His wife told corrections officials that during an argument, her husband admitted to having sex with a caseworker. State law forbids sexual contact between prison staff and inmates, regardless of whether it is consensual.

The alleged sexual encounters occurred at the caseworker's home. One time the inmate brought his children to her house. One of the older children described the caseworker and her house, court documents state.

Investigators allege that she had sexual intercourse with the inmate on at least four occasions at her house.
