Adventurous urbanites ran and pedaled their way through La Vista this morning in an "Amazing Race"-style competition.
The Urban Scramble Adventure Race invited teams of two to hit checkpoints and complete challenges along the way.
Organizers said it was similar to the CBS show "The Amazing Race" because it requires participants to tackle physical tasks in an urban setting.
Racers competed in a short course or long course consisting of biking, running and various challenges. The canoeing portion of the race was canceled due to high winds.
