Running back Rex Burkhead, tight end Kyler Reed and linebacker Will Compton will be Nebraska’s player representatives at the Big Ten’s annual media event in two weeks.
For those unfamiliar… It’s two days (July 26 and 27) in Chicago hotel ballrooms, filled mostly by football-starved reporters who’re ignoring the nondescript dialogue from coaches and players because access to quotes has never been easier.
There is a fan autograph session (worth it, just to see head football coaches and mascots interacting in the same room), and a luncheon for fans, too. Tickets are $100 (Find more info here).
Nebraska quarterback Taylor Martinez won’t be there. Bummer. But we’ll hear from the junior starter when camp begins in August.
Coach Bo Pelini was in a rather chipper mood for the event last year. Burkhead’s making a back-to-back appearance. Denard Robinson’s giving a keynote address. Should be fun.
