Juan Rios went seven strong innings to lift the WESTCO Zephyrs senior legion baseball team to a 4-1 win over Chadron in the final game of the Scottsbluff Screenprinting Wood Bat Classic on Sunday evening at Cleveland Field in Scottsbluff.

The Zephyrs finished the three-day tournament with a 3-1 record. WESTCO's only blemish was a 4-0 loss to the Colorado Diamond Club out of Arvada, Colo., on Saturday.

Chadron played just one game in the tournament after filling in for Laramie, Wyo.

The win helped WESTCO conclude its regular-season schedule with a record of 36-19.

"We did just enough offensively to win the game," Zephyrs coach Mark Moran said. "We had several chances to blow the game open and we never did. We had several poor at bats. We still have a lot of room for improvement in the next week."

One of the bright spots for the Zephyrs in the game was the pitching of Rios.
