Spotted At: The Princeton Produce stand at the Village Pointe Farmers Market
What It Is: Red-hulled popcorn grown without pesticides at gardens near Princeton, Neb., about 13 miles south of Lincoln.
How To Use It: It's good for munching because it's a little crunchier than yellow or white popcorn. The kernels also are a little smaller. You can use it in the usual way: hot and buttered, in popcorn balls, as caramel corn.
Also Spotted at the Market: Zucchini, squash, new potatoes, fingerling potatoes, broccoli, cabbage, spinach, onions, green leafy kale, chard, carrots, okra, berries; honey; beef, poultry, pork, lamb, eggs, cheeses.
