LINCOLN - Everything Kenny Bell said during their conversation drew an approving nod from Nebraska assistant Rich Fisher.

The sophomore receiver and his Husker position coach sat down this summer to discuss goals. And Bell didn't hold back.

"He wants to be an All-American," Fisher said. "And he told me, 'Coach, I want to win the Biletnikoff Award before I leave here.'"

Now that Bell has played a season and understands what it takes, Fisher is encouraging him to think big. Bell's comments came in response to Fisher asking if he was willing to do the things necessary to separate himself not only from other NU receivers, but from those across America.

"It's one thing for a kid that doesn't maybe have the talent, maybe doesn't have the tools, but he has all that," Fisher said. "So it's going to be about taking his game to the next level. His desire is to be the absolute best he can be.
