Justin Lenz's email address was deathlyattraction@gmail.com.
The 16-year-old used it - and the phone number connected to it - to send numerous messages to his former girlfriend, Melanie Koontz, in the hours before her death.

A fatal attraction is exactly what Lenz became to Koontz, according to testimony and a police affidavit obtained Tuesday by The World-Herald.
The affidavit painted Lenz as a controlling, sinister teenager who later told a friend that he strangled Koontz because he was upset with the decisions she was making. Those allegations emerged as the former Omaha Benson sophomore was ordered to stand trial on a first-degree murder charge in the May 14 strangulation of his one-time girlfriend.
A longtime family friend told police that Lenz gave her a blow-by-blow account of how he choked Koontz after the two had sex under a bridge near 78th and Blondo Streets, Omaha Police Detective Scott Warner testified:
As Lenz grabbed her throat from behind, Koontz told Lenz, "I love you.
