Two film titans with Nebraska ties will chat in front of about 2,000 people at an Omaha fundraiser Sunday.

Oscar-winning actress Jane Fonda will talk about her career Sunday night with Oscar-winning director-screenwriter Alexander Payne at the Holland Center.

The 6:30 p.m. event, called Feature IV, is a fund-raiser for Film Streams, Omaha's nonprofit arthouse movie theater. Fonda's father, Henry, was a native Nebraskan who began his acting career at the Omaha Community Playhouse.

Fonda, a seven-time Oscar nominee, won for her performances in "Coming Home" and "Klute." Her hit movies include "Nine to Five," "On Golden Pond," "The China Syndrome," "Barefoot in the Park" and "Monster-in-Law."

Payne, director of best-picture nominees "Sideways" and "The Descendants," is a native Omahan. A five-time Oscar nominee, he won for co-writing the screenplays of both those movies.

Private parties before and after Fonda and Payne's conversation are sold out. Tickets to the main event, $35, are available online at filmstreams.org, or call 402-933-0259.
